BLOW-UP Italian fotobusta movie posters (1966) - The Movies of Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin (Part 4)

London. the Sixties. Music. Fashion. Carnaby Street…No other movie captured that scene better than Michelangelo Antonioni’s BLOW-UP in 1966 (trailer can be seen here)

Jane Birkin was then London’s It Girl, married to legendary soundtrack composer John Barry and starred in this cult movie (see video in Part 4.1)

Also starring David Hemmings, Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles and all of the fashion top models of the time including Verushka.

The soundtrack was composed by Jazz giant Herbie Hancock and the movie featured The Yardbirds including Jeff Beck playing live in a club.
